I had never tried out dental dams myself, so I was very happy to test it out. Dental dams were designed to provide protection during oral sex. And some people feel like it's more hygienic. A dental dam is really just a sheet that you put over the vagina. It's comparable to the material that condoms are made of.

The first impression

The dental dams came in a lovely box with a fun print on it. The box included a leaflet and two dental dams. The dental dams were packaged similarly to a condom. It was easy to tear open. The dental dam is pretty big, so you don't have to be afraid that it won't cover everything.

It's easy to use, you just tear open the packaging and put the sheet in place. Then you're ready to get started. It's also nice that the dental dams can be used for more than just eating pussy, they can also be used for rimming (oral sex around the anus). So you don't need a vagina to use them.

Using it

It takes some getting used to the first time you use it. It's a different feeling than you'd have without the sheet. I noticed that it made my tongue a little more raw and sometimes it was a little too scratchy. But that's why I recommend using some lubricant under it (possibly flavored) so that the sheet can move a bit easier. The sheet didn't have an unpleasant smell and it was tasteless. Something I really appreciated.

I myself prefer oral sex without a dental dam, but for protection I would certainly use it more often with non-committed partners. If you're getting eaten out with the dental dam, it does feel different. Not necessarily bad different. But it was a less intense feeling for my partner.
