      When I unpacked it, it went on immediately. It does make a lot of noise for my taste, although I have not tested it properly to see how loud it is in use. I had problems with the charger. Vibrator only wants to charge if you hold the cable and press it slightly/sideways. Seems to charge sometimes but stops again after a few minutes. Because of this defect I have to request a return. Unfortunate, because it does look beautiful.
