MyMagicWand - Purple

It was quite a package that was delivered by the mailman, or the DHL driver. It really made me even more curious. As soon as I could, I'd just had friends over for coffee, I opened the package. My first impression when I saw the packaging was: big!  I had seen the magic wand in a video before and already knew it was quite big, but still I was surprised by the size.


From the package

What you notice right off the bat is the bright green color, and otherwise the device is white and it doesn't exactly look sexy and arousing. The long 3.5-meter cable is nice and practical. I immediately checked to see what that means for the range, so I plugged it up by my bed, the socket is directly under my bed. The length of the cord makes it extremely easy to reach the middle of my bed.
 
I'm quite sensitive to smell and know from experience that some toys smell very strong, but the magic wand is almost odorless As far as I'm concerned that's a big plus.
Next "inspection point" is how you operate it: three simple buttons, on/off and one plus and one minus button. Con: there's just a simple sticker over the control panel and this sticker is crooked, which I saw as soon as I unboxed it. It's annoying and doesn't look great, but also easy to fix: took it off and immediately put it back on correctly, and it sits perfectly in place and stays in place.

What I did notice is that the Magic Wand feels pretty heavy. Very different from the 23-centimeter vibrator that is already on my bedside table.  I turned it on, held it in my hand and was pleasantly surprised by the intense vibration from the first setting. The vibrations in the second and third settings were even stronger and all at 1 speed, without interruptions. The next settings varied in rhythm and vibration. If I compare the vibrations to my other vibrator (a straight model measuring 23 centimeters) or to my tarzan, this vibration really is 5 times more intense. 

In practice

The Magic Wand is heavier, as I mentioned, the scale says it's more than 750 grams! The handle is smooth and easy to hold. The head of the Magic Wand is made from a softer material, silicone. The buttons respond quickly and well and the cord is long enough not to get in the way, as I quickly noticed.
The noise level is acceptable, I had expected more noise from this big boy, but it wasn't so bad.

The head of the Magic Wand is large, so it's really different from most vibrators and that makes a big difference for your experience of the vibrations. You can really feel the vibrations everywhere and that is pretty overwhelming, but you get used to it pretty quickly and then you quickly want more. In the end I also appreciated the higher speeds but I had to get used to them. I hit the jackpot three times, the third time I reached a climax within 1 minute, this has never happened to me before.

In short, even though the My Magic Wand is a "look-a-like", it is not a complete copy, but a full-fledged "competitor".

Unboxing

The My Magic Wand comes in a sturdy rectangular cardboard box with an almost clinical look. This makes it fit within the historical context of the Hitachi, which was not initially designed as a sex toy.

The My Magic Wand is in a transparent plastic packaging in the box. In addition to the device itself, there's also a manual (2 pages per language with mostly just a few warnings, such as that you should not use it near water, which is quite important, since it has a cord and runs on 220V)

The My Magic Wand does not disappoint. It is nice and heavy: 772 gr. and therefore an ounce heavier than the Europe. The head is made of soft material and is a small 6 cm in diameter. By the way, you can also remove the soft head (although this is not stated anywhere in the manual). This can be useful if you want to use attachments that do not fit over the soft head. As soon as you take off the soft head, you will notice that the head consists of a metal head, a soft rubber ring and the white head. Tip: if you want to put the white cover back on, turn it inside-out and flip it back over the head.

At the time, Betty Dodson called the Hitachi the Cadillac of vibrators for women. And that it is, but also is not. It is actually a whole lot more than that. And that is also definitely applicable to the My Magic Wand. Because men can also enjoy the intense vibrations that the device produces. The test drive

The cons:


From setting 1 (‘oomph’) to setting 2 (‘WOW’), it's a big jump. There could have been a step (or two) in between.
If you don't like intense, deep, raw, fierce vibrations, you have come to the wrong place with the My Magic Wand, because that's all it does!
No batteries. Every pro has its con. You are attached to a cord. Unfortunately, most cordless magic wands have much less deep vibrations or endurance. “Options, options Dorothy!”
The buttons can't be operated by touch alone. Before you know it, you're accidentally hitting the plus and going from WOW to HOHOHO instead of oomph.


It is not waterproof. In fact, keep this device away from water if you don't want to meet an early death.

Surprising! That's the MagicWand. When it arrived, I was really happy with the design. It looks very nice, has a nice soft head and it's easy to hold. It's sort of a heavy behemoth, which made me really curious about what that would be like to use.


Of course there are plenty different vibrators available. I have to confess that we honestly hardly ever use vibrators. Once I bought a little one with diamonds at a ladies night, but we didn't get much further than that. I'm not a fan of things being inserted, but I do love a good clitoral stimulation.

The MagicWand is made of ABS, which is plastic and silicone. The head feels very soft and the handle is easy to hold. As I said earlier, it's a bit heavy to hold onto. You can really tell that it's high quality, so the weight doesn't make that much of a difference. It isn't an issue during use.

Yes, what more can I say about it? What a wonderful feeling! The powerful vibrations make it a real pleasure. You can choose from six different modes, allowing you to choose exactly the vibrations you want at that moment. I think the vibrations are pretty intense in general, by the way.

There are a total of three buttons on the MagicWand, which makes it very easy to use. You can use the bottom buttons to turn it on and the top two buttons to make the vibrations harder or softer. You can choose from six different modes, so there is always one that suits you.

And you don't need batteries, which I really see as a plus! Because it has a three-meter cable, there will always be a power outlet nearby to plug into, giving you plenty of opportunity to use it.

When should you buy the MagicWand?


It's perfect if you like stimulation on the clitoris. You can choose from six different modes, allowing you to choose exactly the vibrations you want at that moment.
The MagicWand provides powerful vibrations, so you really need to love it.
If you don't like having to buy new batteries all the time, or don't want to be surprised when the batteries are dead, because it works with electricity.

- If you like gentle vibrations, I wouldn't buy the MagicWand.
- He's pretty pricey, so if you don't want to spend too much money, I wouldn't recommend it. Although it really is worth the price!

I would absolutely recommend the MagicWand! Despite the price tag, it is in fact a great product. Because of the six different settings, there was always a setting I could enjoy. Besides using it on the sensitive parts, we have also used it as a massager, which I definitely recommend! It's great that you don't need batteries, it just runs on power. Because there are no batteries to drain, you don't lose any power, either. The beautiful design and the fact that it's easy to hold makes the MagicWand a great product as far as I'm concerned.
